Please note:  Because of the nature of the hotels, ferries and excursions this tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

Day One

From your pick-up at your own front door you will be transported to you coach for the leisurely journey north into Scotland and your first night stay in the Stirling area.

Day Two

After breakfast we travel into the Highlands, time free in Tyndrum before we climb the road into Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, where wonderful scenery unfolds, with high mountain tops and sweeping moorland, stopping off in Fort William, in the shadow of might Ben Nevis. Heading north through the Great Glen and past impressive lochs with a stop at Eilean Donan Castle, the second most photographed castle in Scotland before arriving at your overnight hotel at Kyle of Lochalsh.

Day Three

Commencing with a magnificent drive across Skye to catch the sailing to North Uist. A scenic coastal tour of the Uists passing numerous tiny lochs and beaches, before checking into our overnight stay at the Dark Island Hotel, Benbecula.

Day Four

After a leisurely breakfast we head north and the sailing to the largest of the Hebridean Islands, the Isle of Harris. A rugged landscape of moorland, deep-sea lochs and mountains against this backdrop is a proud history dating back to pre-historic times. We travel to the north end of Lewis and to the capital of Stornoway for the next 2 nights at the Caladh Inn.

Day Five

Full day tour of Lewis and Harris with an experienced island guide, including the impressive 5,000 year old standing stones of Callanish (Scotland's Stonehenge, but older). Ancient thatched 'Blackhouses', typical of crafting settlements, with entrance and light lunch included; the imposing Caroloway Broch, a fortified tower dating back over 2,000 years and finishing a wonderful day with a visit to a Tweed Mill, explaining the history of the famous Harris Tweed. Due to drivers hours the coach will be locally hired.

Day Six

This morning we depart the Hebrides crossing to Ullapool, and head onto Inverness, the 'Capital of the Highlands'. Free time before we start our journey south, through picturesque Spey Valley and into Perthshire for your final night's stay.

This morning we bid farewell to Scotland for our journey home.
