Day One

We depart from your home and join your coach for the journey to Great Malvern, lunch stop at the historic town of Ludlow before continuing to our hotel, arriving mid-afternoon time to relax before dinner.

Day Two

After a leisurely breakfast this morning we visit the medieval town of Hereford with its impressive 11th century cathedral, our next stop is picturesque Ledbury with its many half-timbered buildings. We finish the day with a visit to Weston's Cider for a tour & tasting of the finished product, returning to our hotel over the Malvern Hills.

Day Three

Today we tour some of the delightful villages on the 'Black & White' trail, our first stop is the market town of Leominster, gateway to the Black & White Villages, with its half-timbered buildings and quaint shops. We then continue via Dilwyn and Weobley to the Welsh border town of Hay-on-Wye, with its maze of narrow ancient streets famous for its bookshops, with over one million books for sale on every conceivable subject. There is also a variety of gift and other shops offering a wide choice. We continue our trail through the villages of Eardisley, Pembridge and Tenbury Wells back towards Malvern.

Day Four

This morning we travel to the Ralph Court Gardens, 12 amazing gardens set in the grounds of a gothic rectory. From Italy to Africa the gardens transport you around the world and beyond into a fantasy world. Start your journey through the African jungle taking in the tree-top walkway, walk behind the water cascade and enjoy the lush tropical planting. See the beautiful Italian Piazza and pass by Toad Hall in the Willow Garden before walking through the maze. We continue to the cathedral city of Worcester for free time before returning to our hotel for dinner.

Day Five

We depart for home this morning and travel into Wales to the Elan Valley, a region of outstanding scenery and beauty before continuing our journey home.

ABBEY HOTEL, Great Malvern

The setting of the ivy clad hotel is at the foot of the Malvern Hills adjoining a Benedictine Priory in the heart of the town. All bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and guests are assured of a warm welcome.
