Day One

From your home pick-up we travel via the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon, time to relax before dinner.

Day Two

After breakfast we travel to Holmfirth and our day begins with a visit to Holmfirth Vineyard where we walk around the vineyard (weather permitting) learning about the grapes before we enjoy a tasting of 3 English wines, Red, Rose & White. We continue into the village of Holmfirth, home of Last of the Summer Wine to enjoy some free time before we return to our hotel for dinner.

Day Three

This morning we travel to Keighley where we join the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for our steam train journey through the Worth Valley to Oxenhope. We board our coach again and travel to Howarth, home of the Bronte's to explore the cobbled main street with its art galleries, an array of places to eat, drink and shop.

Day Four

Our excursion today takes us to Marsden to visit Britain's longest canal tunnel, Standedge Tunnel. At 3.25 miles long and over 200 years old, typical cargoes included wool, coal and horse manure!! Included is a 30 minute boat trip into the tunnel, one of the entertaining guides will thrill you with tales of folk who designed, built and worked in the tunnel. There is also an exhibition centre and cafe, after time for lunch here we take a scenic drive back to our hotel over Saddleworth Moor.

Day Five

This morning we enjoy our final breakfast before travelling home via Oswaldtwistle Mills, for former weaving mill with over 100 retailers all under one roof.
